The landscape is mostly barren, overgrown shrubs, forest. Wild animals prowl the land, there are wolves afoot.
Occasionally this barren waste is broken by an area of relative cultivation, where plant and animal life has been pushed aside, in favor of neatly lined rows of crops, tiny simply built thatch houses, and gently winding dirt and cobblestone roads.
These areas of habitation seem to spring up centered around a series of enormous stone castles. With towers rising high into the air, and thick walls standing silently against the ages, these structures are the homes of the kings and queens of the land.
Throughout the countryside you can see men, warriors, encased in iron armor, riding on the backs of mighty steeds, as they go out to do battle with the foes of their home.
