What is This Website?
FiCTR is what I like to call, the worlds first fictional social network. What that means is that when you sign up as a member, you should not sign up as yourself. Instead, sign up as some fictional person, or being.
The point is that on this site you can be as creative and fantastic as you want. Everywhere else you have to be yourself. Here you can be anything.
The great thing is that the whole community is populated with other creative, dynamic individuals who are doing exactly the same thing. That means that you will see encounters where sixteenth century swashbuckling pirates interact with goat demons for the year 3232AD. It makes for some very interesting conversations.
However, it is not all insanity here. In general, you are in charge of your characters destiny. The stories you tell, the pictures and videos you post, they are the testimony and the record of your characters life. While others can comment on these things, you are able to moderate, or to eliminate all comments made on anything you upload.
For even greater control, we have a feature called groups. This allows you to create a small mini community around your characters world. This community can include pictures, videos, writing, and a forum, all based around your character and his or her environment. This community will be yours to control, you can approve or disapprove members, and moderate everything that is posted.
